When it comes to losing weight, the focus is all on ‘calories in’ and‘calories out’. Regime pills and fad diets are so passé, but if you feel like cutting down your appetite, then you are not alone in this race. Reviewing your everyday eating habits and refurbishing your daily rituals can give a new lease on your relationship with food. And obviously, the best way to go on about this is by using natural craving suppressants. If you are doubtful that you are eating as per your metabolism and still feel hungry all the time, then follow these tips to curb your appetite: Take meals on time Most probably, we consider to stick with three square meals a day, plus one snack. However, we should also try to manage the gap between each meal throughout the day so that we don't remain hungry longer than four hours without eating. Start from a healthy breakfast in the morning, succeeded by lunch after 3 hours, then eat some fresh fruits in the evening and at last a good, tasty dinner (avoid oily or fatty items). Following a healthy schedule will keep your sugar levels and hunger stable. Drink plenty of water Now that you have scheduled the meals for the day, it is quite difficult that you miss out on a proper diet any day. Though, if you still feel hungry in between meals, pour yourself a huge glass of water or grab a bottle of seltzer. It will help quell the urge to snack. If you still feel hungry even after drinking plenty of water, try mixing things up by adding a slice of lemon (or lime). Water is the best option to keep yourself hydrated and helps flush out toxins that may have taken up residence in your system. In general, a person must drink 11 to 12 glasses of water (2.5 litres) in a day to balance the immune system and keep the body well hydrated. Get enough sleep Sleep is not just resting the body, it's a necessity for humans. Our appetite is regulated by two hormones –leptin and ghrelin, and both are directly affected by how much sleep we get. These hormones are the balancing factor of our system that control the feelings of hunger and fullness. So, we must get seven hours of sleep in a day to keep the hormones working properly, which in turn will help curb your appetite. Avoid snacks Sometimes our emotional state drives us hungry. This mainly happens out of boredom or if we are stressed out. As a result, we end up munching on unhealthy snacks and forget to stick with the daily diet plan. So, if you feel hungry between meals and your stomach is growling, it’s possible that it’s not because you’re feeling weak or tired. For all you know, you might be emotionally unsatisfied in some way or the other and food seems like an out. It’s natural sometimes to slip-up with your regular diet plan and to keep your eating habits in check. However, believing in yourself and by incorporating these tricks you can make a lot of difference in the way you live. You will see benefits that tip the scale in the favour of your health (literally)!
